About Chapter 11

Michigan, Chapter #11, International Harvesters Collectors Club began with an organizational meeting held at Brentwood Lounge and Bowling Alley in Caro, MI Feb. 20th, 1994. There were 45 people present. Dave Wilder called the meeting to order at 3 PM. He opened the meeting by reading a letter from Mike Androvich stating requirements for starting a Chapter. The bi-laws, logo and board of directors were discussed

Dave Wilder, Caro was nominated and elected President
Fred Schenkle, Romeo was nominated and elected Vice President
Tom Cline, Romeo was nominated and elected Secretary
Judy Cline, Romeo was nominated and elected Treasurer
Jack Schrader, Coleman was nominated and elected as Director
Duane Rushlo, Cass City was nominated and elected as director

Dave Wilder made a motion for Michigan State outline with IHC Michigan Chapter # be used for the logo, it was voted on and passed. The annual dues were discussed, voted on for $10 annually, & accepted still in effect today.

The By Laws were discussed, voted on, and accepted. A motion was made for the Board of Directors to decide where the annual meeting would be and it was passed. It was asked for a show of hands for who wanted to join, 100% 45 members present. It was decided the next meeting be held at the Brass Bell at M-52 & M-57 in Chesaning, MI. Charter Members were discussed and passed to be the first 200 members or those before July 4, 1994 In 1998, the Michigan Chapter was host to the National Red Power Roundup which was held at Oakley, MI hosted by Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association, www.mmogta.org.

The 20th Annual Meeting for Chapter 11 was held on January 11, 2014 at Brentwood in Caro, MI to commemorate the club’s roots and beginning. A 20th Anniversary Book was put together, available for the meeting, and dedicated to the late Peg Rushlo who was the club Historian for 20 years. She had kept club photos, memorabilia, notes, and minutes throughout the 20 years. Dave Wilder, the founder of Chapter 11, is the son-in-law of Peg & Duane Rushlo
